What we collect, why, and what we never ask for.
Last updated: October 2026
The short version
Dignity Toolkit Inc. (“Dignity Toolkit,” “we”) is a New York Type B not-for-profit corporation (DOS ID 7956767) based in Brooklyn, New York. We collect only what we need to coordinate help — we do not ask for, and have no field for, anyone’s immigration status. This site does not use advertising trackers or sell personal information, to anyone, ever.
What we collect
Name, contact information, and whatever details are relevant to the request (a legal case, a food delivery, a volunteer sign-up). Case information is role-based: volunteers see only what they’re trained and authorized to see.
Contact and, where applicable, payment information needed to process a donation or respond to a message — nothing beyond what a payment processor itself requires.
What we never collect
Immigration status. There is no field for it anywhere in our intake, and no case is ever conditioned on sharing it.
How information is used and shared
Information is used to coordinate the help being requested and to report in aggregate (never by name) on our impact. We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the specific volunteers, partner organizations, or professionals directly involved in responding to a request, and only to the extent needed to help.
Cookies & tracking
This site does not use advertising cookies or ad trackers. We use Umami, a cookieless analytics service, to count visits in aggregate: which pages are viewed and which links are clicked, plus general browser and country information. It sets no cookies and builds no individual profiles, but the counts are processed by Umami as a third-party service. We do not run it on our help pages (legal clinic, La Carpa, food, clothing, family toolkit), and we honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. A language preference may be remembered in your browser for your convenience; it is never shared with us or anyone else.
Your choices & contact
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by reaching out through our volunteer or partner contact forms, or by writing to info@dignitytoolkit.org.
This page is provided in plain language for transparency. It is not a substitute for review by an attorney, and Dignity Toolkit Inc. may update it as the organization grows.
